Most articles are not bad, they are just incomplete. They answer the main question but skip the related details that searchers expect. I used to publish and hope. Now I run every draft through a content optimizer first, and my articles rank faster because I fix gaps before Google ever sees them.

What the optimizer checks

Our SEO Content Optimizer takes your target keyword and your draft and checks:

  • Content length compared with what competitive topics usually need
  • Keyword usage and density
  • Keyword in the introduction
  • Number of headings and whether the keyword appears in one
  • Readability using the Flesch score
  • Average sentence length
  • Related terms coverage based on real searches about your topic

You get a content score out of 100, a list of related terms you should add and a list of terms you already use well.

How to use it

  1. Open the SEO Content Optimizer.
  2. Enter your target keyword.
  3. Paste your article. Use ## before headings if you paste plain text, or paste HTML.
  4. Click Optimize Content.
  5. Add missing terms where they fit and fix any failed checks.

Where the related terms come from

The tool collects real Google searches around your keyword and finds the words that appear most often in them. These are the terms people naturally associate with the topic. If your article about solar panels never mentions inverter, net metering or battery, the optimizer will flag them as missing.

How to add missing terms naturally

  • Turn bigger missing topics into new sections.
  • Add smaller terms inside existing paragraphs, examples and tables.
  • Use them in image alt text and FAQs.
  • Skip any term that does not fit your page intent.

Improve readability

Search engines want content people can read easily. Short sentences, simple words and clear headings help. If your readability score is low, break long sentences, replace complex words and add bullet lists. Check the details with the Readability Checker.

A full workflow

  1. Find your keyword with the Keyword Research Tool.
  2. Plan an outline with the AI SEO Article Outline Generator.
  3. Write your draft in your own voice.
  4. Run the optimizer and fill gaps.
  5. Check the final page with the On-Page SEO Checker.

A real example

A travel writer drafted an article about a Skardu trip. The optimizer scored it in the fifties. The missing terms list showed Shangrila, Deosai, jeep, road condition, hotel and best time. Her story was beautiful but skipped practical details people search for. She added a short section on how to reach Skardu by road and air, a hotel range table and the best months to visit. The score moved into the eighties and the article started ranking for several practical searches.

Do not chase the score blindly

The score is a helpful signal, not the goal. A short, perfect answer to a simple question can rank well even with a lower length score. Use the optimizer to find gaps and weak spots, then decide with common sense. If adding a term would make a sentence awkward or off topic, skip it. Readers, not formulas, decide whether your content truly succeeds.

Update old articles too

The optimizer is not only for new drafts. Paste your older articles that sit on page two and see which related terms are missing. Adding a few focused paragraphs and refreshing the date often lifts these pages onto page one without writing anything new from scratch.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good content score

Aim for 80 or more, but treat the score as a guide. Helpful, original content always comes first.

Should I add every missing term

No. Add the ones that genuinely help your reader.

Does longer content always rank better

Not always, but complete content usually does. Cover the topic fully without padding.
